IBSA has developed an Environmental Management System; a system which facilitates the application and accomplishment of environmental measures, and assists in the continued improvement of production procedures.
In the Investigation and Development Centres various methods are studied to make use of the natural resources in order to
reduce the environmental impact.
Our Comitment to the environment.
Because of our concern for the future, at Industrias del Bierzo, S.A, we rely on a Co-operative Environmental Policy which establishes the commitment of everything we do regarding our industrial plants, products, packaging and the way in which we operate. In order to be able to accomplish these objectives we need to :
- Assure that are products, packaging and procedures are not harmful in any way to our employees, consumers or environment.
- Prevent or reduce as much as possible the environmental impact of our products and packaging, from the design and manufacturing procedure through to the distribution.
- Achieve or exceed the legal requirements and regulations of environmental material.
- Continuously evaluate our programmes, environmental technology and monitor the progress achieved by the introduction of our objectives.
- Offer the relevant and appropriate information to our consumers, clients, employees and other groups of interest, based on the environmental quality achieved through our products, packaging and procedures.
- Assure that each and every one of our employees understands and takes responsibility for the protection of the environment through their activities on a daily basis.
